ATTN BRIELLE RESIDENTS
Multiple residents have received fraudulent phone calls from an unknown group requesting money for unpaid utility bills. (example JCP&L, NJ Natural Gas). This group is acting as one of the above organizations and demanding the “late bills” be paid via a pre-paid card purchased at stores such as 7-11 or Rite Aid. We encourage all residents if contacted by a suspicious number requesting similar requests, to immediately contact the Brielle Police Dept. Legitimate company’s do not operate in this fashion.
