As a professional organization, the Brielle Police Department aspires to employ established “best practices” protocol in the operation of the agency.
The New Jersey State Chiefs of Police accreditation program provides the framework for police agencies to develop and implement policies that meet established standards. The program requires policy review and on-site inspection by the NJSACOP in order to verify adherence to the standards. As a participating member in the program, the Brielle Police Department has achieved NJSACOP accreditation in 2016, 2019 and 2022.
We are currently working toward a renewal of our accreditation in 2025. All inquiries regarding accreditation may be directed to Lieutenant Ryan Meixsell rmeixsell@briellepd.org
