BODY WORN CAMERAS
The officers of the Brielle Police Department utilize Body Worn Cameras. The Body Worn Cameras serve multiple purposes within the agency. First and foremost, the cameras are a valuable asset intended to strengthen accountability and public trust. The cameras are also used to assist officers in the performance of their duties by providing an accurate and unbiased recorded account of an incident. In addition, Body Worn Cameras also improve officer performance, provide training recommendations, as well as providing expedited resolution to citizen complaints.
The Brielle Police Department is currently utilizing the WatchGuard Vista XLT Body Worn Camera as shown in the photos. It is typically worn on the front of the Officer’s uniform or on their outermost garment such as a jacket or outer bullet proof vest carrier.
